Welcome to Tag Me in, Coach! An event designed around combining the forces of our rising star amateur players and our veterans for a one-time mid-set coaching legal tournament!

Players in this event will be allowed to nominate a coach to guide them through their full tournament run. During sets, both player and coach will be allowed to enter a Discord voice chat with a live-stream available. Coaches may not speak during gameplay, however in-between games they will be allowed to speak freely for a period of 90 seconds before the next game must begin. This time period will be monitored and enforced when necessary, with all calls being required to take place within the designated voice channels in the Aus Smash discord server.

Every set of Top 8 will be streamed, with players and their designated Coach being placed into hidden voice channels within the Aus Smash server that the commentary team will be accessing throughout the set.

All elected coaches must agree to participate in this event prior to their players signing up. Once confirmed, players must sign-up and then edit their name for this tournament with both their tag as well as their chosen coach's.

Basic rules:

To be eligible for this event you must not be banned from competing in RenderedSpy's ROACS. This includes all entrants in the ROACS Season 1 Finals.

DSR: A player cannot counterpick to a stage that they have already won on.

Tempest Peak is banned. All other stages are legal.

A DQ or ban can be given to anyone for being too slow to complete their matches.

Smurf accounts are prohibited and will result in an indefinite ban from all Aus Smash tournaments and a minimum of a 1-month ban from the Rivals of Aether Academy, with duration up to discretion of the head TO. This rule will never be circumvented for anybody.

Connection issues will all need to be played out unless there is video proof of SERIOUS, HUGE ping spiking. Alternatively, you may request a TO to investigate any potential connection issues by having both yourself and your opponent connect to a lobby with the TO. After the tournament the TO staff may vet the people who had reported connections and potentially bar them from future events.

Refrain from harassment of other players in chat before or after the game. What constitutes poor conduct is fully up to TO discretion, so keep your manners in check. Breaking this rule can get you disqualified here as well as banned from future events.
